Sunanda Pushkar Nath Dass was an India Businesswomen and the wife of Indian former diplomat and politician Shashi Tharoor. She was on 1962, 27th June in a Kashmiri Pandit family. She was the only daughter of Lt Col Puskar Nath Dass and Jaya Dass.

During her graduation, she married a fellow Kashmiri Pandit Sanjay Raina. The couple divorced in 1988. Subsequently, she went to Dubai in 1989 where she met Sujith Menon and married him in 1991. Their son was born in 1992. In 2010 Sunanda Pushkar married Shashi Tharoor after he was elected to the Indian Parliament. This was the third marriage for both of them.

In 2010, Shashi Tharoor's company bid for the IPL cricket team Kochi Tuskers Kerala. The company was founded in 2009 while making Sunanda Pushkar the Director of the company.

On 17 January 2014, Sunanda was found dead in room number 345 of Leela Palace Hotel In Chanakyapuri, New Delhi, where the couple had moved to as their house being renovated and painted. According to initial reports, Sunanda was suspected to have committed suicide. But later Delhi Police reported that Sunanda was murdered and filled DIR in the regard.
